Three Star Tradestand Award Winner at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 2025

What a week. We’re just back from the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival with full hearts, tired feet, and an RHS Trade Stand Award sitting proudly in its frame. From blistering sunshine to full-on downpours (very British), it was a bit of everything, and we loved every minute. We met so many lovely people, showed off a beautiful line-up of pleached trees, and shared plenty of peach San Pellegrinos and garden chat along the way.

Trees That Turned Heads

We brought eight of our favourites with us this year, all hand-picked by our nursery manager, Chandler, to show just how versatile pleached trees can be in the right setting. If you visited the stand, you’ll have seen (and heard us say "Look up!")

  • Hornbeam – Always a classic, with smart structure and timeless pleated leaves.
  • Portuguese Laurel – Neat, glossy, dense foliage. We’re tipping this to be our best-seller for 2026!
  • Mimosa – Light, feathery, and full of tropical character. One to watch.
  • Copper Beech – Rich and dramatic. This one featured in lots of show gardens across the festival.
  • Pink Marble – Soft, variegated, and a refreshing alternative to Red Robin.
  • Sweetgum – Star-shaped leaves that come into their own in autumn.
  • Magnolia grandiflora – Glossy leaves, bold blooms, and a real crowd favourite on our stand.
  • Field Maple – A touch of native charm and a great option if you want something a little different from Hornbeam.

We had some brilliant conversations throughout the week, from designers sketching ideas to homeowners daydreaming about their perfect garden (yes, we're thinking fairy lights in parasol trees too...). Thank you to everyone who stopped by to browse, chat, or just say hello.

Did You Spot Adam Frost and Frances Tophill on Gardeners’ World Chatting Under the Parasol Trees?

Our very own Chandler helped supply the London Plane Parasol Trees for The Garden of Two Tales, a stunning show garden designed by the talented Daniel March and the team at DH Studios. We were lucky to be right opposite the garden all week and watched it be enjoyed by the crowds.

It didn’t just look the part either. The garden was awarded a Gold Medal, won Best Garden of Curiosity, and picked up the People’s Choice Award too. A proper trio!

If you loved them too, the very same parasol trees are now available to order from our website.

A Few Favourite Moments

There were lots of little highlights we won’t forget...

Henry being spotted by the stewards as one of the “Just Pleachy boys” thanks to his model-like good looks while collecting his exhibitor badge. Chandler’s face lighting up as his favourite tree, the Mimosa, finally got the recognition it deserves. Rachel doing her best to avoid ending up in the paramedic tent after bumping into the stand more times than she’d like to admit. Gen keeping us fuelled with snacks and banter while sporting her fabulous headwear. Sophia's guest appearance as the "Forest Princess" (the new nickname given to her by Rachel's little girl). Ugne discovering our Trade Stand Award. Jamie and his comedy tan lines on the hottest day of the year (he wears glasses, bless him). Ant charming the crowds by singing the praises of "his" Portuguese Laurels and tipping them for next year's bestsellers.

Giuseppe, one of our behind-the-scenes heroes, brought in homemade pizza for the team. Dan stepped in to help at the last minute and kept everything running smoothly. Raluca snapped gorgeous photos and captured every detail.

We also loved chatting with our neighbours Kate and Ed from From the Ashes, who showcased their beautiful handmade furniture crafted from ash dieback timber, and with Dan, Haley and Steve from The Garden of Two Tales opposite us.

But what really made the show was the people. The chats, the giggles, the unexpected reunions, and hearing “We bought trees from you”. It made all the hard work worth it. We soaked up the feel-good atmosphere, and honestly, we didn’t want it to end. Our Just Pleachy tote bags weren't going to last that long; they disappeared within the first hour every morning!

From Rachel, Chandler, Henry, Gen, Ugne, Sophia, Jamie, Ant and Dan – thank you to the RHS and every visitor who came to see us. We had a fab time.
