From sturdy double stakes and rubber ties to bamboo scaffolding, compost and fertiliser, we've made it easy to get everything you need in one convenient kit.

What's Included

Each Complete Tree Planting Kit provides the following planting essentials, with quantities calculated according to the number of pleached trees you're planting:

• Double Tree Staking Kit
  Two sturdy wooden stakes (5cm diameter) and rubber tree ties per tree, providing secure support while your pleached trees establish.
• Bamboo Scaffold
  One heavy-duty 3.6m bamboo cane (28–30mm diameter) per two trees, helping to stabilise pleached tree frames and keep them neatly aligned. Suitable for frames up to 180cm wide.
• Jack's Magic All Purpose Compost (40L)
  One bag per three trees, enriched with seaweed and natural nutrients to support healthy growth and moisture retention.
• Controlled-Release Fertiliser
  One tub per 30 trees, gradually releasing nutrients to support healthy growth. Measuring scoop included.

All shared accessory quantities are rounded up where necessary, ensuring you receive enough planting materials for your order.

• 80–140cm Clear Stem: Two 150cm wooden stakes, each 5cm in diameter, and rubber tree ties.
• 150–180cm Clear Stem: Two 180cm wooden stakes, each 5cm in diameter, and rubber tree ties.
• 190-200cm Clear Stem: Two 240cm wooden stakes, each 5cm in diameter, and rubber tree ties.

How to Create a Bamboo Scaffold

Position the heavy-duty bamboo cane horizontally behind the centre of your pleached tree frames, creating a strong crossbar support across neighbouring trees. Secure the cane to each frame using cable ties to add stability and keep your trees neatly and evenly aligned.

How to Create a Bamboo Scaffold

A bamboo scaffold helps keep neighbouring pleached tree frames aligned and provides additional support while your trees establish. Position the bamboo canes horizontally along the top of the pleached frames, overlapping the canes where necessary to create a continuous support across your row of trees. Secure the bamboo to each frame using cable ties, ensuring the frames are supported without restricting natural growth. Bamboo canes can be trimmed to length as needed.

Fertiliser Information

Our controlled-release fertiliser supplies nutrients gradually over time. One tub typically treats 20–30 trees, with one scoop per tree. Apply at the beginning of spring and summer. For newly planted trees, sprinkle one scoop onto the soil around the base after planting, keeping it away from the trunk. Please read the instructions on the tub before use and follow the recommended application rate and timing for your plants and garden conditions. Feed only where needed and avoid exceeding the recommended dose. Full instructions are printed on the tub.
